Army applaud standards in Amphibious Training

The Chief of Training of the Nigeria Army, Major General Abdulsalami has applauded the standard of training and combat readiness given to officers and men of the Amphibious Training School of the Nigeria Army located in Calabar.
Major Gen. AB Ibrahim made the remark on Friday during and inspection tour and commissioning of some projects in the School. The commissioned projects includes, Medical Center, a rehabilitated Swimming Pool and a remodeled Quarter Guard.
The Army Chief of Training noted that officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army are given befitting training in order to discharged their constitutional role and remain professional in their assigned missions.
According to him, the training and welfare of troops is top priority. Adding that it is in proper training that the enermy is defeated. His words, “if you train well, you will bleed less in the battle field.”
He particularly commended the Commandant of the Amphibious Training School, Calabar, Brig. Gen. Frank Etim for the standards he has seen at the school and the combat skills displayed by the men and officers of the school.
He urged that good care be taken of the structure put in place in the school so that those coming after the current beneficiaries will equally have good facilities to use.
Speaking earlier, the Commandant of the Amphibious Training School of Nigerian Army, Brig. Gen. Frank Etim thanked the Chief of Training of the Nigerian Army for personally visiting the training School to see things beyond the reports he reads from the school management.
He noted that the achievements at the Training School would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the Chief of Army Staff to the welfare needs and projects of the Amphibious Training School.
He commended his predecessor, Brig. Gen JY Nimmyel for initiating some of the projects commissioned in the school.
There was demonstration exercise to show the visiting Chief of Training, water combat skills before he took tour of the commissioned projects.
