As more aspirants continue to declare their ambition to  succeed Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State,  Chief Ogbang Ebock has given reasons why he has joined the frey.

Speaking at the weekend  when he hosted some stakeholders at his residence in Calabar, Chief Ogbang Ebock said “I have come to interpret  and actualize  the dreams of all other regimes in the state since 1999”.

He said he has “watched  and accessed all major  policy decisions  in the state  that have resulted  to inspire  growth  and development  as each successive  regime has a blue print that s intended  to be catalyst  for development in our State .These regimes  have tried  to purse their dreams with great effort  hoping to attain the desired  results  where our people would be happy”.

“There are however,  structural problems that have retarded or impeded these noble efforts by previous  regimes in the state.  Let me state  here clearly  that I have the right disposition  to abridge and consolidate  all these blue prints  into a perfect  policy direction  of consolidation  that will become  my mantra,  christened –“the bridge”- the vision beater of a new regime invite state under my leadership,  if given the mandate to harness every available  resources  to make our State experience  greatness as never before.”

He said the effort of the administration led by the incumbent,  Governor  Ben Ayade  deserves commendation  for laying the foundation  for the industrialization of  our State  to gain the status of an industrial hub in Nigeria  and in West Africa  sub-region.

Adding,  “today we can talk of the Cocoa factory in Ikom,  Rice Mill factory in Ogoja,  Germent factory and Calachika factory in Calabar  among others.  My opinion  of this  is that this is a good  start for the State  and it is my dream to make them functional  and more  productive for their benefits  to be felt by all”.

He assured  that he has the zeal and passion to serve and make the state the paradise of our dream to be a reality.
