The Senate President and an aspirant for the presidential ticket of the All Progressive Congress APC, Ahmad Lawan have pledged that if given the opportunity, he will ensure the runs an administration that sees the country working for everyone no matter individual background.

Speaking in Cross River State on Friday when he met with delegates to the National Convention of the party, Lawan said, “We will ensure that Nigeria works for everyone no matter your background, be it geographical, religion or ethnic.”

He told delegates that he will prioritize education and ensure that with a strong educational foundation every institution of government is manned by those who are fit and able to deliver the expected goals.

He noted that the present APC government has done a lot and recorded huge successes. “We have gotten certain programs and projects right. There is one project or more from the FG in every part of Nigeria. In the southeast, the long-overdue 2nd Niger Bridge has been finally completed by this administration and the president will commission it by the end of the year.”

Adding, “any project we have not been able to handle successfully, we will re-tool and refocus them in order to deliver the expected result to the people.  We will change the direction in any area which is necessary in order to ensure the outcome is what makes life better.”

Lawan further assured delegates that the APC has opened up the space and will give every aspirant an opportunity to run. And if he is opportune to be the flagbearer of the party, he will win the general election for the party because he will certainly get support from every part of the country.

He says he has benefited from Nigeria and if given the opportunity, he will take it as one to give back to Nigeria and return the goodwill.

Besides the meeting with delegates, the Senate President also held a meeting with the Governor of Cross River State Prof. Ben Ayade is also a presidential aspirant. He also visited the Palace of the Obong of Calabar before leaving the State.
