Students Leadership Forum endorse Prince Otu in Cross River governorship race

Students under the umbrella of Students Leadership Forum, Cross River State on Friday, announced their resolve to support the ambition of Senator Prince Bassey Otu as the right and best candidate as governor who should be elected on March 11 general elections.
The Students forum announced their resolution to the media at the Ernest Etim Bassey Press Centre Calabar on Friday.
The Students Leadership, who cut across different tertiary institutions in Cross River State converged at the Press centre and gave their endorsement to the APC governorship candidate and his Deputy.
In a communique signed by different students’ leaders, they noted that power rotation formula has been adopted as a guiding principle for power sharing in various unions of the tertiary institutions such as National Association of Cross River State Students World Wide (NACRISS-WW) and Students Union Government (SUG).
According to the communique: “It is imperative and instructive at this point to mention that beyond the fact that Senator Bassey Otu is favored by the argument of time, he is also the most student and youth friendly candidate with greater antecedent compared to all other candidates.”
The chairman of the forum, Comrade Edet Boniface noted that some of the scorecards that prompted their unanimous endorsement dated back when the guber candidate was a senator, he facilitated the UNICROSS administrative blocking Calabar, built some schools and several school blocks across the Southern senatorial district, gave grants and scholarships to students and gave empowerment and employment to many youths.
Adding “Looking at his track record of service to the people in and out of office, the forum wishes to implore all well-meaning students of Cross River State origin various institutions to go out en masse on the 11th day of March 2023 and vote Prince Bassey Edet Otu in order to maintain this political balance and peace enjoyed in the state.
Also the Students Union Government (SUG) president, Comrade Tyrone Bassey lend his voice to appeal to students to exercise their franchise in favour of the APC Governorship Candidate.
